BackgroundIn the early days of Karaoke, Carrie Nichols, owner extraordinaire, frequented Karaoke establishments, singing for fun and participating in Karaoke contests. Shortly after meeting her future husband Mike Nichols, she won the Sound Choice city wide $1000 contest. Carrie then began working for the Sound Choice Company. Carrie was very successful as a KJ/DJ. Several years later, Mike and Carrie decided to start their own Karaoke/DJ company. Carrieoke Productions debuted in February of 1997 with three shows a week. These shows were very successful and the company expanded to nine systems, five vans, and 11 employees. Carrieoke Productions currently has 22 club shows each week plus weddings and parties.
